My Common Cold in Cold Winter Away~

Yup, I've struck with the commonest illness in the world, common cold. Well, I guess its my fault anyway so no use to whining bout it. Ok, lets rewind few days that lead to my cold....

3 Days Ago (Friday)
Its the autonomy day(AD)! For those that didn't know what this day is all about, allow me to explain it to you....
Long, long ago, at the smallest continent in the world, there was a castle. This castle... Ah, f*ck it! Lets just say Uni of Newcastle used to be UNSW's b*tch( well, not really.... i guess) and one day UoN free from slavery of the UNSW! That day become the Autonomy Day ( or Lets Drink Until We Drunk while Going To Class Day!).

I've woken up at 3 am due to loud noise ( siren, full blast stereo and people banging the door) for the start of AD. All of my housemate gather around the kitchen and have brekkie (breakfast, australian style~) at 4 am. Im ready to go back to sleep when my housemate hold me and chuck 2 glass of whisky at me! At that time, I felt the same traumatic experience being molested... in a difference way.... well, lets just say i went to my morning class with slight headache and super hot body ( cause im already HOT, hehe). In my way back to my room, I saw naked man running around (ewwh, gonna have nightmare tonight) drunk with quite a few policeman trying to hold em down! Thats a sight to see ( for some reason im hoping i dont see that man "thing" but ive seen in anyway...).

In my way back, the rain started to pour harder than my shower! Alas, due to my headache, i didnt even bother to take a shower immediately but instead choose to take a nap. Yeap, i know, BAD IDEA....
As a result, i managed to get this stupid cold!

Huhu, anyhoo, just wanna inform u guys that i'll be back to sabah this end of november! I MISS MY HOME!

My Second Semester Away~

Huhu, Uni of Newcastle med student already started their new sem since last week. Holiday mode is still on, and i hope study mode will kick in soon. Seriously, i still spend my valuable time watching anime and manga eventhough i should rad bout abdo examination. Guess its hard to change your habit ( habitat? LOL) suddenly....

There are several things that i noticed in the beginning of this sem. One, i will be having classes and prac more frequently in hospital and GP. Not that i dont like it, but the 1.5 hours train ride will definetly pain in the ass... Secondly, I have gained some weight and extra fat! This make me think of joining gym here but i dont really a "physical" person so i dont know....

BTW, this friday will be the AUtonomy Day for our uni, and from what i understand from my friends it will be a total havoc! Hope no drunk lady sneak to my room at that time LOL~

Ok, joke aside, this is a very serious matter. Due to this nerve wrecking situation, my appetite decrease by 100 gram per dinner and i use 10 seconds less for shower. Why, why u must treat me like this oh myHubs. Release that freakin result already! I need to know my fate~

Huhu, lets just wait for it......

*Edit*

Hee, I freaking pass that shit! Lol to my elective (information tech) for getting 91/100 aka High Distinction! Thank u god!

My Ski Trip Away~

Finally, the trip is over! It was a fun and interesting trip, worth my every penny, time and energy (luckily i have Energizer, not Duracell). So, lets recap what I did in this trip:

Day 0
Nothing much happen on this day, apart from taking the train from Newcastle to Central, and then waited for the bus. The bus leaved Central at 11.30 pm.

Day 1
Probably the longest day in my life as I practically awake throughout the journey to Snowy Mountain. First, we stop at Casula to pick up few passengers and then have a break in the middle of nowhere. Mind u that the temperature well below 5 degree Celsius at that place! Around 5 am we arrived at the Rhythm Snowsport to collect all our gears and stuff. I also bought the cheapest ski goggle they offered ( still, $50 is not cheap T_T). Then, after2 hours of boring journey, we stopped at Jindy to get the lift pass and take 30 minutes to Thredbo ski resort.

Well, the first thing I did when hitting the snow was struggling to move the ski around. Luckily I have a beginner lesson with the pro and by the end of the day, I managed to ski down the Friday Flat(FF) without falling and crashing with other people. But it take quite a lot of "cool" crashes before I managed to control the ski properly. When the first time I ride the chairlift I kept thinking that I will fall down as the chairlift keep swinging around. But to protect my pride, I act very cool ( wait, im not acting cuz I AM COOL) and start chatting with a random kid beside me that seem to have better skills than me....

After skiing until 4.30 pm, we were brought to the supermarket and then to our accommodation in Jindy. Its a very clean and spacious hostel, complete with everything u need. But rite after taking a shower and have a quick dinner, I just hit the bed and fall asleep....

Day 2

When I woke up, the temperature was very low, even u can see water vapour coming out when u breathing in the room! OMG, its soo cold! The area was filled with white frost and I captivated with the white, winter wonderland.... Not to mention the soreness of my entire body.....

For this day, I take a much higher level ski lesson so I'll able to ski on much steeper slope at Merritt areas. With confidence higher than Mt Everest, I tried to ski down at Merritt despite my lack of skills. As a result, I become a rolling snowman( or polar bear?) down the hill ( i think its about 5 m) because of high speed but cool crash and to make matter worst, i lost my watch during the "Great Fall". Talk about underestimating the slope.... When I decide to go back to FF, i didnt expect the chairlift is sooooo frightening and unstable. The only thing that prevent u from "kissing" the 15-20 m snow from your sit is a simple chain. It felt like im riding the Space Shot at Genting for 5 minutes!

After heading down, I took few minutes strolling around the Thredbo village and then go back to the bus at 4.30pm. With muscle strain all over my body, i just cant take it and take an early sleep that nite....

Day 3

The last day of skiing. One of the people in the trip, Ian, decided to help me with my skiing. He taught me several skills and thanks to that, im able to ski down the Merritts with style and without unsightly crash. My ability have level up, even skiing during "whiteout"(where the visibility is less than 5m) was not much of a problem! Im so happy with the result and decide to have a lunch at the bakery on merritts~

At 4 pm, we started our journey home and stop at several places before reaching the central station just before midnite...

Day 4

This was an awesome day to go back to the campus! Why u asked? Firstly, the train that supposed to leave at 11.15pm was delayed due to some technical problems and leave just after i board it! Hee, I guess the show cant go on without me afterall! I supposedly have to take another train at 1.30pm but it seem my luck is just too good ;P. Secondly, After reaching Hamilton, The train to Uni arrived just a minute after I changed the train. And to complete the day, after crossing the bridge, at that very moment a security car doing patrol pass through the area saw me and stop at the entrance of the bridge. He offered me a lift to IH and I just accept the gift from above~....

Epilogue

For those who wondering if skiing is for u, asked urself whether u like
1. Ice skating
2. Speed
3. Cold
4. High places
5. few crashes here and there

If your answer to all of it is yes, then try the sport~

My Dream of Snow Away~

FINALLY. After worrying for the past few days as the Thredbo snow resort having difficulties with insufficient snow, my worry have been blown away by the blizzard! Heck, who with the right mind want to waste so much money to the place with unsatisfactory snow condition? But after constantly monitored the snow report in here and here, i can expect some good snow in my trip later on.

Well, its still few days before my trip and to tell u the truth, im at loss in which what should i bring there. Not that i have any experience with snow ( except for ABC, if u catch my drift) nor with temperature below 0 degree celcius. I kept wondering if im in negative degree celcius ill become cooler than ever! Anyhoo, I managed to prepare few basic things amidst of my ingnorant, just enough not to make me become frozen chicken there. Thermal cloth ( i dont really need this because im HOT, but oh well), check; long, redundant warm stokin, check; cool sunnies to make me even cooler and cruising with style ,check; ski glove so i can ski(seriously, the art of skiing lies in that thing.... i guess), check; sunscreen so my face will not become like power ranger(due to sunburnt), check; Lipbalm for my sexy lips, check; MP3 so i can cruise down the mountain with catcy songs ( keep me rollin baby~), check; NDS for the boring 8 hours journey, check; foods in case of emergency ( LOL, i meant in case if my lipid mass reduced), check and check!

I'll be alone for this trip and have been given important mission from nick to infiltrate the trip and obtain information for the next year trip. So, wish me luck!
